The City of Stanwood envisions celebrating its uniqueness by promoting a vibrant and economically robust downtown. The City is initiating the Downtown Revitalization Project that invests in our downtown business district infrastructure by creating Pedestrian-Friendly Streets, actively engaging storefronts with walkable sidewalks, encouraging the use of streets for community festivals, creating usable urban park spaces, and promoting the concept of buying local.

The Downtown Revitalization Project is focused on 270th Street NW and 271st Street NW between Stanwood City Hall Park and the Train Station at 84th Avenue NW (Florence Road). The corridor has been designated as the Twin City Mile. The City is looking for feedback from the community on this project. This feedback will be used to guide the design plans for the Twin City Mile.
